A devastating series of tornadoes has caused death and catastrophic damage in communities served by Volunteers of America Southeast. Our organization has central offices throughout Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, including the cities of Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Huntsville and their surrounding communities.

Monetary donations are still being accepted to aid victims of these tornadoes. One hundred percent of all monies received by Volunteers of America Southeast will be used by VOA to provide food, water, medical, and other humanitarian aid to the people directly affected by this disaster. All funds will be used directly for relief efforts.

The most expedient way to help is through monetary donations. Please donate by phone, online at www.voase.org, or mail/drop off checks:

Oil Spill - Info for local churches -

To all churches along the Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi Coast:

On behalf of our Board of Directors, employees, and fellow workers at Volunteers of America affiliates across the country, we would like for you to know that we are joining together in prayer for you. We realize you are on "the front line" meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people whose lives are being forever changed by the oil spill.

As we seek to not just be a hearer of the word, but also a doer (James 1:25), we offer our assistance in support of your efforts to meet the many human needs confronting the people of your community during this unusually challenging time.  Our goal is to help identify how we can assist you and the congregations of our area.  To that end, we have a link to an online survey.  We hope you will take a few minutes to complete this survey. It will help us develop resources we can offer through local congregations.
